An evening in Red Canopy

Life has been a bit hectic for me, there are a few things I have to arrange before my departure to Brisbane. Yesterday I went to apply for my Visa at HRDS, I have to say the people there were very helpful and friendly. I have to do a medical check up at Riverview and Chest X-ray at JPMC for the Visa which I did yesterday as well. Didn't know there's so much to do in order for you to obtain an Australian Visa. I have to further send a consent form to the Magistrate to allow Alai Rayyan to be included in my Visa. What else do I need to do? Go to Ripas for further Medical Check up (this time for the scholarship people), Go to MOE to hand in my signed Agreement, buy ticket for my sis-in-law and Alai Razi to join me in Brisbane. I think those are the most important things I have to focus on for now and I haven't even think of what items should I bring abroad..and I have approximately two weeks to do all these! OMG, this is really stressful!

Well..I do not wish to think about it now so back to my headline 'An evening in Red Canopy'. Had another hanging out session with the Havelock Chicas (haha..I don't know why do I still called ourselves that) and also our part-time chicas - Mardhi..hehe..she used to hang out with us all the time in Sheffield though she didn't actually live there. You would expect to see her every other weekends and at any other special occasions. She's actually our junior so she had just graduated last year. Its been a while since the 5 of us were in the same room, thus you can guess how perky we were that evening. There was this one time when Ikin was trying to tell us a story about this annoying guy- the story was actually short and simple which could take her less then a minute to tell but we kept on menyampuk with other stuffs. Here how's the conversation went:

Ikin: Iatah this guy...
Yatz: Eh ani lelaki yg masa d Sheff??
Ikin: Bukan...
Audz: Nyaman ah my Cambodian food..
I3: Boleh ku rasa?
Yatz: Aku pun mau makan..eh kin back to your story
Ikin: iatabah..skali this guy..
Yatz: bukan lelaki yg cousin mu ani kah (memajal hehe)
Ikin: Bukannnnn...
Then someone else said something else lagi haha..it took her I think 10 minutes to tell us her story.

Well..it was a fun evening for all of us (except Alai Rayyan - I had to call his dad to join us as Alai Rayyan was mengusuting most of the time) Oh and thanks to Aunty Ikin for the great pressies. Alai Rayyan will wear it the next time he sees you :)

Happy One Year Anniversary :)

Today is my one year wedding anniversary. Wow...Time sure does fly..a year of being a wife..and now a mum...

We didn't get to go anywhere to celebrate as Rayyan is not feeling that well (he just got his second vaccination shot today which gives him a slight fever). Nevertheless, hubby bought me roses which I thought symbolises 'I love U' but hubby said its supposed to mean 'hubby, alai Rayyan and me' Sweettt~ hehe. I didn't manage to get hubby anything yet as I hardly go out and if I do, it would be with him. Furthermore, as I'm going to Australia soon, thinking of buying him something from there.

Anyho, I wanna wish hubby a Happy Anniversary..Thank you for being such a wonderful husband, thank you for this beautiful life that you have given me, thank you for putting up with me and most of all thank you for loving me...May our marriage be blessed forever and looking forward to spend the rest of my life with you. Love you lotsss...xoxo

One happy family (forgive alai Rayyan for being cranky)

This is more like it...

Just for oomma

Thanks oomma for buying me this cute shirt. Love u..xoxo

Wonderful Life~

Yesterday I was supposed to attend my friends' mandi belawat but as baby Rayyan was still doing his Marathon, I had to skip the event. I really wish I could go though. Anyho, baby Rayyan decided to end his Marathon by noon yesterday where he slept soundly for 4 hours! Fuh..what a relief! Managed to watch Enchanted with hubby and his siblings. Though it was only at home, still...Yeayyyy....I was finally able to do something else other than feeding hehe..

Ikin was here yesterday to hand me my birthday gift - It's a scrapbook esp made for me!! I was really touched...all the time and effort..I couldnt even get myself to do a scrapbook for Baby Rayyan. I was really semangat when I bought all the stuffs (that was when I was 8 mths preggie). I spent almost $200 on the items..I even almost bought the eyelit hammer set which cost about $80 but hubby ask me to make atleast one page first before I decided to buy it (hubby really know me well! hehe) and yeah I only made one page up to now! Thats the thing about me, I tend to overdo the shopping bit if I decided to do something, but when it comes to actually doing it, I'm very not committed..as a malay saying goes 'hot hot chicken shit'. Anyway, thanks so much kin, it really means a lot to me...I love you berabis! Hugs~

My beautiful scrapbook

As Baby Rayyan was sleeping most of the time yesterday, I told hubby I wanna shop. We went to Southaven and Qlap mall yesterday...I ended up spending almost $350 on clothes!! I know I am supposed to save esp that I'm unemployed but I have not been shopping for clothes for the last 2 months PLUS I do not have anything to wear now..my maternity clothes are too big and my pre-pregnancy clothes are too small! So I have no choice but to buy...So, I refuse to feel guilty despite hubby keep on sindiring me for spending too much teehee...

Oh and our hang out session didnt turn out so well as baby Rayyan was still on his Marathon then. We ended up hanging out in my car as I had to BF baby Rayyan. Still waiting for Audz to send me some pics for me to post. I just hope we will be able to do it again soon..

But all in all, these past few days has been great! - being able to hold and cuddle my Baby Rayyan while he's feeding, seeing ikin and Audz, the beautiful scrapbook, watching movie with hubby and SHOPPING...What a wonderful life :)

Growth Spurts??

Baby Rayyan has been doing what I called 'Milk Marathon' where he BF non-stop for the past two days. Search through the internet and apparently this means that he is going through a growth spurt where baby may demand to feed more often than he has previously and may seem fussy and less content after feedings than he has in days before. And this increase in the number of feedings is baby's way of increasing the milk supply to meet his needs.

So here's how baby Rayyan's current schedule is: wake up, feed for 30 mins, snooze while feeding, mummy put on bed, wake up after a few minutes, mummy pick up and try to calm him down, put him inside his cradle and unggak him to sleep, sleep for 30 mins, an hour if mummy is lucky (bear in mind have to unggak him constantly so he wont wake up and fuss)...so the cycle continues...oh and mummy has to change his diaper in between.

This also means less sleep and rest for me..I have to wait for my hubby to return from work yesterday just so that I can have my 'me time' which include showering! I do hope his feeding pattern will go back to normal today as I'm planning to hang out with the girls today..but no luck so far...

Some photos to share with you all (shots taken today):

After Feeding

Look at how sweet he is...

A few minutes later

My saviour "the cradle" (to distract him from feeding again). This could last him for approx 30 mins. Thanks to Lyssa for this wonderful gift.

Notice the frown - that's what me n my hubby called 'tidur inda ikhlas'

Finally...

After a few months under construction (actually more like a day of creating this blog, a few months of not doing anything and finally 2 days of searching for a good layout), I am finally ready to post my very first entry...

Its been a while since I last blog..since then a lot had happened to me and people around me. I've graduated, married to my wonderful husband and had recently given birth to my beautiful son - alai Rayyan. Worked as a banker for 2 years and quit my job recently to pursue my Master Degree this coming Feb. The rest of havelock chicas are still single, earning their own money with a good job except for Bliss, she just got back from doing her Master in UK. Though we hardly had the time to see each other, our friendships remain strong and the memories of us living in one roof will always be remembered and cherished.

Back to my life, as a full-time mum, my time is dedicated to nurture and nourish my son. As my decision is to BF him exclusively, I could barely have time to go out, hang with my friends nor doing my most fav thing in the world - Shop! I went out last sat to find a shoes to match my dress (one of my close friends is having a wedding reception next sunday), I spent more then half of my time in the BF room and ended up buying nothing! Nevertheless, I went out again the next day and eventually managed to buy a pair of shoes and yes my baby did fusses along the way...but I've managed!

Don't get me wrong, having my baby is the most amazing thing that had happened to me, I just need a bit more practise in handling him and soothing him down. I know its just a matter of time before he would feed and fuss less, till then I would have to tone down my social life and my shopping (which is a good thing I suppose as I could save a lot of money given that I am now unemployed).

Oh well, I think I've written down too much on this first entry, time to go and feed my baby :)
