Happy One Year old my Baby!

Alai Rayyan will turn one in the next half an hour or so....I really couldnt believe how time flies so fast! So what has he learnt so far? Lets see:

(1) He's learning to walk! Still lesen L though and ikut mood...if he wants to walk he will make his rounds in the living room but if not he wont even work for that day...so I dont know how long will he take his lesen L for...lets hope not as long as Mama Mieee hehehe

(2) He knows how to marah you...by saying Eppp just like how Mummy would marahkan him hehe...the last time when we were in DFO and he was throwing a fit, I decided to ignore him. So when I finally tried to calm him down (coz he was reallyyyy LOUD!) it took him quite a while to forgive me and when he finally did, he hit me on my arm and said eppppp! hehe

(3) He knows how to give flying kisses.

(4) He knows how to play with his toy car! hehe this really amused me! I bought him his first car toy when he was 9 months old? Because I remember my nephew really loves playing with toy cars...but the car remained in his play tent because he doesnt know how to play with it. I tried to show him a few time but he refused to even look at it. Then suddenly a few weeks ago I saw him playing with that car! he was crawling around the living room pushing the car here and there :) So I guess Alai Rayyan is a self learner kind of baby (or should i say toddler now?)

(5) Alai Rayyan can recognised characters from his books.

Hey its past twelve now...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA'S BOY! Abah and mama really lovesyou to bits! And we're so proud to have you as our little one, our one and only (so far hehe), the apple of our eyes.

We will be having a little birthday celebration today and will have another one once we're in Brunei. Since its in the middle of the exams period, it will only be a very small one but i will try to make it as proper as possible. After all its Alai Rayyan first birthday party ever! hehe I will post some pics and hopefully videos of the party soon after.

As for now, I shall leave you all with Alai Rayyan's walking lesson video taken a few days ago. Will head to bed now as I will be having a very busy day tomorrow...preparing foods for the party and setting up our living room. Have a very good night you all.

Cleaning up the spiderwebs

Lyssa messaged me from Brunei saying my blog is full of spiderwebs, so here I am with the intention to do some spring cleaning and updating the blog before it rots hehehe yes people, I know I have been super lazy in maintaining and updating this blog...which is unfair for my beloved one in Brunei especially Hubby...kept on asking when am I going to update.

So what have we been up to? My sister is here to help me baby-sit alai Rayyan.... OMG Alai Rayyan was making his few steps just now!!! he was standing a few metres away from me where suddenly he moves forward for like 5 steps...but when he saw i was looking, he sat down! Thats the thing with Alai Rayyan that I've learnt...he wont let other people sees his weaknesses. Like he knows his not good at walking yet so he wont walk infront of you. The same thing as crawling, he didnt want to do it everytime we insisted but all of the sudden there he was crawling all over the room! Ok back to my story, hehe I was just overexcited seeing Alai Rayyan making his moves forward...ok ok, so my sister is here and we have been going around. Yesterday, we made a trip to Wet and Wild in GoldCoast. It was a lot of FUN! Other then that, been really busy with assignments and all, thank God the sister is here...reducing the amount of stress and helping me a lot with Alai Rayyan and doing the house chores. But she will be going home next Sunday though sob sob...I wish she could stay a little big longer...I miss the feeling of being pampered...hehe thanks Sis...love you much! So today, we decided to go to the DFO, as my sis wanted to get some souveniers for families and friends. This might be our last outing before I have to really sit down and focus for my papers which start this Thursday! and I will have 3 papers in a row!!! Wish me luck on that.

To make up for all the missing posts, here's a video of Alai Rayyan taken last night, and some of his recent pics.

Greetings Earthling....

I don't know where to begin as it has been a while since I last blogged. Mhmm...feels like I have lost interest in sharing all the what and the when in my life. But again to think that I initially created this blog to record the wonderful developments of alai Rayyan, I shall continue narrating and capturing Alai Rayyan's moments :)Alai Rayyan is now 9 months old (yeay!)His developments so far:

1) He could stand up using anything that he viewed as a support object (and that includes anyones body while we are sitting or standing).

2) He could crawl! That happened when we first reach here from Brunei which was on 16 July. It was our first day in Brisbane and there was crawling around the house and sit on his own when he was tired!

3) Today, Alai Rayyan is able to clap his hand! yeayyyyy....and this happened when I was busy sleeping (I know, I know, but Alai Rayyan woke up sooo early and I was really sleepy, so I let him entertained himself hehe dont worry Alai Rayyan is not the type to crawl away from me, he would just sit beside me and babble away, and if he's tired he would just search for his 'pacifier' and go back to sleep, hehehe)

4) I think he now knows the meaning of Mama, Baba, Nenen and Mamam as he had correctly used it for several times now.
Those are his major developments that I could think of at the moment. oh, oh and most importantly Alai Rayyan now have a friend; Alai Insyirah. She's 6 months Old and such a cutie pie! I'm sooo grateful that Ive gotten to know her parents, Amy and Yaser...they turn out to be such a great couple and we ended up having lots and lots of family outing, hence adding up to the reasons of my lack of entries (hehe...sorry for putting the blame on you Amy :P, but x kire, nak jugak)

I'll call the night off for now as I need to spend some quality time with hubby on MSN (Sad, I know...boohoo) Night you all and I shall leave you with my fav Sony moment of Alai Rayyan and Alai Insyirah :)

No-no mama

Our semester is now officially over and we'll be moving into our revision week starting this Monday. I still have one assignment to submit though, luckily my first paper will only begin on 13th June 2008. That should give me enough time to prepare InsyaAllah..if my procrastination is not making an appearance that is...hehe

My sister is now here...thank God! Being a stayed-home mum for 1 week plus had really drained me out...not because I was tired taking care of the lil one, No...its just doing the same daily routine and not being able to go out was really driving me insane. Even Alai Rayyan was bored to the max, the first thing he did when he was finally able to handle his walker was walked to the door and peek through the glass window beside the door hehe my poor lil baby.

Alai Rayyan had an instance connection with my Sis and it took him no time to be in her arms. So my life is much much easier now and I was able to finish my 2 assignments on time. Got one of the result back and I actually did great! I got 27/30 woohooo...couldnt believe my luck! So for that course I've actually collected 43 out of 50%. (16/20 for mid-sem exam)...the rest of 50% would be from the final exam. I hope I could atleast get a distinction on that.

Thats on my achievement. Alai Rayyan has a few things for me to be proud of as well...here's some of his major developments so far:

1) He is learning to shake his head as a sign of saying NO....though sometimes he just shaked his head randomly.

2) He's not only growing one tooth, but there is now four! (2 visible one on the middle and 1 whitecap on each sides- all on the bottom gum)

3) He knows how to salam people

4) He knows how to express his dissatisfaction - by bitting your hand! hehe...he'd done it to my sister a few times when she was trying to stop him from messing around with her laptop (Oh Alai Rayyan really loves to play around with the laptop; once when i was webcaming with hubby to sleep and suddenly I heard a 'tinggg tinggg' sound, and I opened up my eyes to find out there Alai Rayyan was betiarap quietly infront of my lappie playing with the keyboard! Usually, when he woke up in the middle of the night, he would cry for my attention but not this time. He was taking his oppurtunity to play with the laptop while no one is watching! lol!)

Oh my lil angel is just growing up so fast...he's becoming more berakal each day. I know I should be happy, but a part of me couldnt help feeling a bit sad...

Anyho, some pictures to share with all of you and a video of Alai Rayyan saying no to medicine (oh he got a slight fever after his vaccination few days ago) and FOOD! hehe

No-no mama (my room was quite a mess as it was the middle of the night when Alai Rayyan started screaming and had a bit of temperature. My sister and me were a lil panik!)

His cute teeth - halfway up :)

After shower - its getting harder to dress him up now as he keeps on rolling away

The reunion; A peek on his little tooth

Alai Rayyan's little tooth decided to make an appearance while daddy was here :) At first, we didn't realise it...he kept on grinding his gums together and one day I just like "eh napa kan ia mcm orang gergitan ani, cuba liat gusinya atu!". To our surprise, there it was, the little white cap! I didn't expect it because I always have in mind that the teething will come with a fever, but Alhamdulillah, Alai Rayyan has not got any yet. Hopefully he won't get it at the later stage as well..ameeeennn...

But he is getting fussier though and its harder for him to sleep soundly during night time. Oh and he poo-ed a lot too. I couldn't wait for his little tooth to make a full appearance :)

One week of love, fun and joy

Its been a week-well-spent with hubby...sadly its time to be apart again :'(

I will have no one to look after Alai Rayyan for now til 21st June (My sis will be here then) so I guess I have to skip lectures and tutorials unless my housemate is home and is able to baby-sit. Oh well, atleast I get to focus on my two assignments which will be due on 22nd and 23rd of this month.

On a different note, Alai Rayyan had shown a lot of new 'pemandai' while Abah was here! He managed to roll over (finallly!) and he talks a lot too (not that we could understand him but there's definitely a lot more then gagigu...mcm2 udah bunyinya hehe. Oh and we saw a white cap on top of his gusi bawah...will definitely see some teeth coming out soon :) I do hope he wont get any fever tho..aminnnn

Oh and I have been noticing that my EBM is reducing more and more. I'm guessing its because I've been really busy going around that I have been skipping meals and I don't even have time to express my EBM anymore. And Alai Rayyan has been feeding non-stop during night time which adds more value to my assumption. I tried expressing my BM the last few days and only managed to get 2 0z on one side! Tried to search for the Milkmaid tea high and low but it was nowhere to be found. So I decided to search for the other recommended herbs as Fenugreek on its own doesn't seems to help much anymore. Managed to get Blessed thistle and Raspberry leaf in the pharmacist shop at Indooroopilly. Been combining these 3 herbs the last two days and it seems to work. I woken up with an engorged and leaking B yesterday but when I tried to express, only managed to get 3 oz out of it! Funny that my B still felt full but I couldnt expressed anything anymore so I ended up feeding Alai Rayyan directly. Does this means that my Breastpump is not functioning properly anymore?? More reason for me to get a new BP...(hint hint to hubby hehe).

The herbs

Oh well...time for me to sleep now. Will definitely continue with my rambling soon as there's just a lot of photos to share plus I sure will have a lot of free times since I wont be going to lectures and all.

TO BE CONTINUED...
