Happy Ramadhan

First thing first, some pictures for hubby, will upload more soon okay, I haven't transferred some of the pictures from the camera.

Alai Rayyan sticking out his tongue as I tried to dress him up...my least-favourite thing to do at the moment

UQ-Brunei Student Hi-tea reception

Mummy bullying Alai Rayyan (actually it was Yasirs idea but being a cruel mummy I am,I joined in hehe) Oh and notice the pink cheek, that's all the rashes coming out. Sian Alai Rayyan, will post some more of his rashes pictures soon

Secondly, tomorrow is marked as 1st Ramadhan in Brisbane as the moon had been successfully sighted here. Too bad Brunei would only start fasting on Tuesday, I would really want to fast with Hubby though we are now separated by the oceans (but again what else is new right? I couldnt recall the time when Brunei had ever successfully sighted the moon, kenapa kan tu? I think its about time they change their 'binocular' to a better one hehe).

It has been a busy week for us, I got a mid-semester exam last Monday and it was really hard! Then Alai Rayyan rashes strikes again on Tuesday, and with a temperature as well making me all panicky again. Went to the GP again and the DR said that it could be due to the bacteria is still in his system and he needs to carry on with the antibiotic. Sigh~ I really couldn't bear seeing Alai Rayyan with all the rashes, I just hope he will recover soon. Aminnn.....

Oh on a happier note, received a wonderful news from Brunei. One of my dearest bestfriend~ Hadrie, got pregnant!!! Yeay!! The long awaited moment is finally happening! I am so happy beyond words, and I cant wait to see her with the tummy...hehe..

So back to us, we spent the weekend with Amy and family - hanging out at their place on Friday, watched the fireworks festival in Southbank on Saturday followed by watching Long khorn 1 and today we continued with Long Khorn 2 at their place again. hehe spending time with them is sooo addictive...makes me feel like home...Thinking back, I was adamant that I would be miserable this semester especially that I don't have any of my family member here to help me. But Alhamdulillah, with the blessing from Allah, I've been given a lot of helping hands which I truly appreciate. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

Okay dokie, time to go and prepare food for sahur...happy fasting everyone, and happy 'beramal ibadat'...

Happy Birthday dearest Lyssa

Just a quick note to wish my dearest bestfriend - Mummy Lyssa a wonderful happy birthday. Sorry I cant be there to celebrate it with the rest of you but Im sure u had a blast regardless esp with the super advance bday presie from Hubby ;p

Oh and Alai Rayyan also wanna wish his mummy a happy birthday. He wants mummy to knows that he's damam at the moment. He got a very high fever last two nights and yesterday he developed some rashes. Went to see the Dr again this morning (thanks Amy and Yasir for the lift :D) and the GP reckon that he has an allergic reaction towards the prescribed antibiotic. I do hope its true because I couldnt stand seeing Alai Rayyan with all the rashes...my poor baby...

Anyho, back to Mummy Lyssa, we love you to bits and jangan merajuk-rajuk ok, we're sure umi and bonda do remember, maybe they have their reasons...Miss you a lot...

P/S: Hugs and kisses for Alai Aaqil Hensem...

Greetings Earthling....

I don't know where to begin as it has been a while since I last blogged. Mhmm...feels like I have lost interest in sharing all the what and the when in my life. But again to think that I initially created this blog to record the wonderful developments of alai Rayyan, I shall continue narrating and capturing Alai Rayyan's moments :)Alai Rayyan is now 9 months old (yeay!)His developments so far:

1) He could stand up using anything that he viewed as a support object (and that includes anyones body while we are sitting or standing).

2) He could crawl! That happened when we first reach here from Brunei which was on 16 July. It was our first day in Brisbane and there was crawling around the house and sit on his own when he was tired!

3) Today, Alai Rayyan is able to clap his hand! yeayyyyy....and this happened when I was busy sleeping (I know, I know, but Alai Rayyan woke up sooo early and I was really sleepy, so I let him entertained himself hehe dont worry Alai Rayyan is not the type to crawl away from me, he would just sit beside me and babble away, and if he's tired he would just search for his 'pacifier' and go back to sleep, hehehe)

4) I think he now knows the meaning of Mama, Baba, Nenen and Mamam as he had correctly used it for several times now.
Those are his major developments that I could think of at the moment. oh, oh and most importantly Alai Rayyan now have a friend; Alai Insyirah. She's 6 months Old and such a cutie pie! I'm sooo grateful that Ive gotten to know her parents, Amy and Yaser...they turn out to be such a great couple and we ended up having lots and lots of family outing, hence adding up to the reasons of my lack of entries (hehe...sorry for putting the blame on you Amy :P, but x kire, nak jugak)

I'll call the night off for now as I need to spend some quality time with hubby on MSN (Sad, I know...boohoo) Night you all and I shall leave you with my fav Sony moment of Alai Rayyan and Alai Insyirah :)

Its day two of not going out for Alai Rayyan so as usual he became extra fussy and cranky. This evening, he was so mengusut and he even refused my BM! So my sister put him in his stroller and brought him around the living room...it didnt take him more then 5 mins to fall asleep in his stroller!

No-no mama

Our semester is now officially over and we'll be moving into our revision week starting this Monday. I still have one assignment to submit though, luckily my first paper will only begin on 13th June 2008. That should give me enough time to prepare InsyaAllah..if my procrastination is not making an appearance that is...hehe

My sister is now here...thank God! Being a stayed-home mum for 1 week plus had really drained me out...not because I was tired taking care of the lil one, No...its just doing the same daily routine and not being able to go out was really driving me insane. Even Alai Rayyan was bored to the max, the first thing he did when he was finally able to handle his walker was walked to the door and peek through the glass window beside the door hehe my poor lil baby.

Alai Rayyan had an instance connection with my Sis and it took him no time to be in her arms. So my life is much much easier now and I was able to finish my 2 assignments on time. Got one of the result back and I actually did great! I got 27/30 woohooo...couldnt believe my luck! So for that course I've actually collected 43 out of 50%. (16/20 for mid-sem exam)...the rest of 50% would be from the final exam. I hope I could atleast get a distinction on that.

Thats on my achievement. Alai Rayyan has a few things for me to be proud of as well...here's some of his major developments so far:

1) He is learning to shake his head as a sign of saying NO....though sometimes he just shaked his head randomly.

2) He's not only growing one tooth, but there is now four! (2 visible one on the middle and 1 whitecap on each sides- all on the bottom gum)

3) He knows how to salam people

4) He knows how to express his dissatisfaction - by bitting your hand! hehe...he'd done it to my sister a few times when she was trying to stop him from messing around with her laptop (Oh Alai Rayyan really loves to play around with the laptop; once when i was webcaming with hubby to sleep and suddenly I heard a 'tinggg tinggg' sound, and I opened up my eyes to find out there Alai Rayyan was betiarap quietly infront of my lappie playing with the keyboard! Usually, when he woke up in the middle of the night, he would cry for my attention but not this time. He was taking his oppurtunity to play with the laptop while no one is watching! lol!)

Oh my lil angel is just growing up so fast...he's becoming more berakal each day. I know I should be happy, but a part of me couldnt help feeling a bit sad...

Anyho, some pictures to share with all of you and a video of Alai Rayyan saying no to medicine (oh he got a slight fever after his vaccination few days ago) and FOOD! hehe

No-no mama (my room was quite a mess as it was the middle of the night when Alai Rayyan started screaming and had a bit of temperature. My sister and me were a lil panik!)

His cute teeth - halfway up :)

After shower - its getting harder to dress him up now as he keeps on rolling away

Happy Birthday to Nadia a..k.a Umi Rayyan

This post is especially dedicated to my bestfriend of 18 years; Nadia.

Dearest Nadia,

Happy 2*th Birthday (Just incase you don't want people to know how old are you today hehehe). I started counting again last night how long we had known each other...and it has been 18 wonderful years! It all started when we were in the same Ugama class in SR.HMJM. Kiulap. We were in Primary 1, and I remember feeling a bit intimidated by this smart-beautiful girl sitting quietly at the back of the class. We never really talked to one another until one day for some reasons I couldnt quite remember, I was told to sit at the back of the class, just beside this smart-beautiful girl. I learnt that the name of this smart-beautiful girl is Nadia, I also learnt that she's a very kind person and it was so easy to get along with her. All the teachers in that school then learnt how close we have become and so everytime there was a class promotion, we would be put together. We became inseparable eversince.

We've been through a lot together; all the dramas, ups and downs of our teenage life, the heartache caused by those stupid boys :D, and like all other friendships we also had some 'break-up and make-up' moments. But nevertheless, our friendship remains and the bond became stronger as we grow up. We have survived the distance ( I was in UK for 2 years while she's in Brunei and now she's in UK and I'm in OZ) and the family hurdle (we're both are now married and have a child of our own). You are more like a sister to me and I know we will always be friends till death do us part :)

Happy birthday darling, wish you all the joy and hapinness in this world and don't forget our second project, hehehe...in 2 years time? Love you so much and life would never be the same without you.

Myanmar Cyclone - Help those in need

Found out that two of my ex-collegues from Uni are involved in doing a fundraising charity for the Myanmmar cyclone victims. I couldn't helped feeling a spang of proudness seeing my own generation doing something big like this, something I never actually thought of doing...

I would love to go to the garage sale held by wardrobe inc if only I'm in Brunei right now. As for you lucky people in Brunei, why don't you head off there and provide a helping hand to those in need. For further information, please refer to the flyer below or visit Wardrobes Inc
